By mounting Mini LED chips on a BT (bismaleimide triazine) substrate to form discrete LED packages before attaching them to the PCB using SMT, MIP technology addresses a major maintenance limitation of COB technology. This design allows field technicians to replace individual LED packages if a failure occurs, helping reduce long-term maintenance costs and total cost of ownership.
Beyond repairability, precision bin-mixing of individual MIP packages minimizes color variations across production batches for more consistent visual performance. Additionally, flip-chip and common-cathode technologies—combined with the Dynamic Visual Engine—help reduce power consumption and screen surface temperatures, and protective epoxy resin encapsulation shields panels against moisture and dust to support reliable around-the-clock operation.

To modernize its broadcast set, France’s BFM Marseille upgraded its studio backdrop with Hikvision’s 1.2 mm GOB flexible indoor LED modules. Three seamless, bezel-free curved displays were installed behind the main news desk, forming a continuous visual arc tailored to the studio's custom architecture.

The 1.2 mm pixel pitch and GOB protective technology deliver clear, highly readable visuals even at viewing distances of around one meter. This setup enables producers to display dynamic panoramic content or split feeds, creating a premium, immersive studio atmosphere for both presenters and viewers.
